Ferrari 275 GTB/4 Sets New High

A 275 GTB/4 was sold at Bonhams Les Grandes Marques du Monde at the Grand Palais on 6 February for $3 Million USD, a record for this model. This car, s/n 10905, was completed in January of 1968, two years after Ferrari introduced the 275 GTB/4 in place of the 275 GTB series. It was delivered to its first owner in Maione, Italy, in March that year, before being exported to the USA two years later. By 1979 it had passed into the ownership of W Michael Gray, a businessman in California, who completely restored the car before its sale in 1980. Under the ownership of Walter Storz of Lörrach, Germany, the car was finished in red with black interior, and featured Borrani wire wheels.
