The 14th Annual Palm Beach Cavallino Classic will be presented in Palm Beach, Florida at The Breakers Hotel, on January 18-23, 2005.

This meeting is a six day convention for Ferrari owners and enthusiasts, with participants and their Ferraris attending from the U.S., Europe and Japan.

Benefiting from the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic are two important charities, the Childrens Wish Foundation, and the American Council of the Blind.

The first major event of the convention is the Florida Trophy, a two day track meet at Moroso Motorsports Park on Thursday and Friday, January 20 & 21. Over 100 competition Ferraris revive memories of days gone by, as their owners let them loose again in a race course setting.

The second major event is the Tour of Palm Beach, on Thursday, January 20. Up to 80 vintage and classic Ferraris tour through Palm Beach and along the Atlantic coastal roads. They leave from The Breakers and make stops at The Ritz-Carlton and The Chesterfield Hotel, with a destination at Jet Aviation for a reception.

The highpoint of the week is the Concorso d’Eleganza on the front lawn of The Breakers, on Saturday, January 22. 150 beautiful Ferrari automobiles are judged by leading experts, and Class Awards and Major Cups are presented, along with The Cavallino Cup for Best in Show.

The week is capped with a special new Sunday program at Palm Beach Polo, on January 23. The Ferraris will join several hundred other “sporting automobiles” of different marques on display, at the Palm Beach International Concours d’Elegance.

The evenings are host to several receptions, including the Private Jet Reception, and the Awards Dinners at The Breakers.

The Palm Beach Cavallino Classic is regarded as one of the top five automotive events in the world, along with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the Louis Vuitton Concours d’Elegance, the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza, and the Concorso Italiano.

The stature of the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic is recognized by the following:

  • It is the first ever automotive event at The Breakers Resort Hotel.

  • It is the first ever closure of a golf course fairway at The Breakers.

  • In year three, the Classic hosted the first Ferrari Challenge races ever run in the U.S., a competition series for modern production Ferraris.

  • In year nine, the Classic hosted the first major races of the Ferrari Historic Challenge, a competition series for vintage Ferraris.

  • In year 10, the Classic was the largest ever, with over 400 Ferraris in attendance.
