The fifteenth annual Palm Beach Cavallino Classic was held between January 18 and 22 at its regular host hotel, the sumptuous and imposing Breakers, situated on the ocean edge in Palm Beach. Here the attendees could indulge themselves in superb luxury, with a vast range of on site facilities and high end boutiques, coupled with unspoiled views across the breaking surf over the Atlantic from the rear terrace. Even without the lure of the Cavallino Classic, southern Florida is an extremely pleasant place to spend some time in January. It offers European summer-like temperatures, which boosts the spirits of those from the northern states or from Europe, whose residents are deep in the grip of winter. This milestone anniversary event attracted entrants and visitors from no less than thirty seven states and nine countries, with a number of European Ferraristi in attendance. A real coup was the gathering of no less than thirteen previous best of show winners, which were presented as a special display group on the Concorso lawn.

The registration reception was held on the Wednesday evening in the opulent Gold Room of The Breakers, where there was an extensive and vibrant motoring art gallery, featuring work by internationally renowned artists like Ken Dallison, Dennis Hoyt, Yahn Janou, Jay Koka, Bill Motta, John Frances Marsh, Enzo Naso, Bill Neale and Barry Rowe. The art was on display for the remainder of the week, and then moved outside on Saturday to be a part of the Concorso.

Ferrari North America had a table there to promote three of their latest customer programs: the Ferrari Classiche authentication program, their 2006 North American touring rally, and the driving courses at the Mont Tremblant circuit in Canada.
