STRADALE

A First Look At The Stradale As It Reaches American Shores.

Images by Jerry Wyszatycki

It is here, the Stradale, and it fulfills every promise that was hinted at in all the publicity photographs.

It truly looks the part of a street racer, and even a short drive quickly tells you that this latest rendition of the 360 is the ultimate 360, short of owning one of the actual competition race versions.

But in fact, we are told that the Stradale, in many ways, has performance attributes (acceleration, torque, braking, etc.) that are higher than on every model of the 360 save the actual 360 GT and the new 360 GTC.

How? By providing more horsepower, obviously, but also by a radical adjustment of the engine mapping, which makes for explosive response, as well as high top end speed.

In addition, all excess weight has been stripped from the car (and you would be surprised at how much this helps overall), and there are those massive brakes, more than the car really needs, but it allows our carefree driver to do amazing things. Of course, the car is still street legal, of which Ferrari is very proud and has every right to be.

If you can find a Stradale, beg for a ride.
